Who we are & what we do

LifeInsuranceforVets.com is a lead generation website. We do not sell insurance and do not endorse or promote any particular agent or agency. Our role is to collect consumer inquiries (“leads”) and distribute them to independent, licensed insurance agents or agencies (“Agents”) who may contact you to discuss their products and services.

Important: We are not a party to, and do not control, any subsequent communications between you and an Agent after we deliver your lead. We are not responsible for statements made by Agents or outcomes of your conversations. Any quotes, advice, or services are solely provided by the Agent you choose to work with.

Scope

This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you use our website, forms, or any channels we operate (collectively, the “Services”).

Information we collect

Information you provide

Contact details (e.g., name, email, phone number, state/zip)

Coverage interests or preferences submitted via our forms

Any other information you include in free-text fields

Information collected automatically

Device and usage data (IP address, browser, pages viewed, timestamps)

Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for analytics and ad measurement

Information from third parties

Anti-fraud/validation vendors (e.g., to verify contact details)

Advertising platforms and analytics providers

How we use information

We use personal information to:

Create and distribute leads to specific Agents you consent to hear from

Operate, maintain, and improve the Services

Communicate with you (including by call, text/SMS, or email, per your consent)

Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or legal/regulatory issues

Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect our rights

How we share information

We may disclose personal information:

With specific Agents you agree to hear from. We only share your information with the named Agent(s) (or their licensed entity) that are explicitly listed at the point of consent. We do not share your information with any seller not listed in the consent you provide. docs.fcc.gov+1

With service providers (hosting, analytics, anti-fraud, messaging) who process data on our behalf under contract

For legal reasons (subpoenas, compliance, protection of rights/safety)

In a business transfer (e.g., merger or asset sale)

California note: Disclosing your information to Agents so they can market to you may be considered a “sale” or “share” of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended). If you are a California resident, you can opt out of sale/share using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” options described in Your Privacy Choices below.

TCPA & texting disclosures (important)

When you submit your information, you may be presented with a consent box. If you choose to agree, you authorize us and the specific, named Agent(s) listed in the consent to contact you using the contact information you provide. That contact may include calls and text messages, including via an automatic telephone dialing system or a prerecorded/artificial voice, for marketing purposes. Consent is not required to make a purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time as described below.

These disclosures are required by the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and FCC rules. Legal Information Institute+1eCFR

One-to-one consent for lead distribution

We follow the FCC’s one-to-one prior express written consent requirement for robocalls/robotexts by lead generators: if you consent to be contacted, your consent maps to the specific seller(s) identified to you at the time of consent, and your information is shared only with those seller(s)—not with a broad or generic list. Effective January 27, 2025. docs.fcc.gov+1

Revoking consent / opting out

You can revoke consent at any time and by any reasonable method. For texts, reply “STOP” to end; reply “HELP” for help. We will honor opt-out and internal Do-Not-Call requests within a reasonable time, not to exceed 10 business days. You may also email us or use any opt-out links we provide. We may send one confirmatory text acknowledging your opt-out. Legal Information InstituteFederal Register

Company-specific Do-Not-Call (DNC)

We maintain an internal DNC list. If you ask us (or an Agent) not to call or text you, we will place your number on our internal DNC within 10 business days and take reasonable steps to pass your request to any Agent we have already shared your lead with. You can also register your number on the National Do-Not-Call Registry. (Telemarketing calls must also comply with DNC rules and call-time limits.) eCFR

Records of consent

We maintain records of your consent, including time/date stamp, consent language, source URL, form fields, and IP/device data, for compliance and audit purposes. (This helps us—and the Agent—prove who you agreed to hear from.)

Cookies, analytics & advertising

We and our partners use cookies/pixels to:

Measure website traffic and performance

Prevent fraud and maintain site security

Understand ad performance and improve user experience

(Where permitted) tailor ads you may see on other sites/apps

You can adjust browser settings to block or delete cookies. Some features may not work without cookies.

Your privacy choices

Opt out of sale/share (CA): Use our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link (or email us).

Limit use of sensitive personal info (CA): Where applicable, you may request limitations.

Access/Deletion/Correction: Contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity. Authorized agent requests are permitted by law.

Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here (for example, to deliver your lead to a named Agent, maintain consent and suppression records, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes), then delete or de-identify it in accordance with our policies.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children’s privacy

Our Services are not intended for individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Third-party sites & Agent communications

Our site may link to Agent websites we don’t control. We’re not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Once we’ve delivered your information to a chosen Agent, that Agent’s privacy policy and compliance obligations apply to their communications with you.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll post the updated Policy with a new “Last Updated” date.

The VA WILL NOT Cover Your Funeral

You can utilize a National Cemetery and have your plot, headstone, opening and closing, and grave liner covered, however your family is still responsible for body preparation, body transportation, and casket/urn. Don't leave your family with this bill...rather leave them with a check.
